Counsellor Annette Moore

Annette Moore

My name is Annette and I am one of the counsellors at A Time To Talk Counselling and Coaching Service in Swindon. I started my counselling training in Boston in Lincolnshire and continued this in Swindon where I gained a Certificate in Person Centred Counselling and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling. This means that I am able to use a combination of theoretical approaches and allows me to be flexible in my work with individual clients.

Personal development and continued training are important in this type of work and like all the counsellors at A Time To Talk Counselling and Coaching Service I am committed to gaining further specialised training and knowledge in a variety of areas. To date this includes training in bereavement counselling through CRUSE, working with clients who have a drug or alcohol dependency (and their carers), group work, couples counselling and working with gay and bisexual clients (through Gay Men’s Health).

Apart from my work with A Time To Talk Counselling and Coaching Service I am also a school counsellor at one of Swindon’s secondary schools working mainly with the 14 to 16 age group. Up until recently I was a Family Assessment Worker, working closely with parents and children in a residential setting. Prior to this I have worked within an alcohol and drug agency, both facilitating groups and counselling clients individually.

The nature of my work means I have had a full enhanced CRB Police check and I hold a Certificate in First Aid.
